I read your blog on the 153 fish of John 21:11 with interest. You state the problem and the various solutions very succinctly. Good for you! However, there is a more simple, elegant and contextually appropriate solution which both third graders and fishermen will like much better. There were SEVEN fishermen who caught 153 fish. Then they had to sort out the unclean animals from the catch and divide it into shares. SIX fishermen each received 22 fish and the seventh received only 21. The number 153 means there was ONE missing fish. In Matthew 17:35 Jesus had sent Peter to catch ONE fish to provide tax money. So Peter would remember that incident. He would also remember the teaching about the shepherd who left the 99 sheep to find ONE which was lost and bring it back rejoicing. This was a memo to Peter about forgiveness and restoration. It is also a way to show us how God omnisciently plans even details in our lives to guide us in His purposes for us. The number 22 was a complete counting set for people of that day so this message would have been obvious to Hebrew fishermen in a way it is not to us. I hope this has blessed you. Grace and peace!

Absolutely not. in the post, Four views of the Lords Supper, i merely outline the four views. I would align myself with Calvin's view. Importantly, Calvin’s view of the Real Presence keeps Christ’s body in heaven at the right hand of God until His glorious return therefore rejecting that there is a transformation of substance or essence of the elements. But he also rejects that all we are doing is remembering a past event using merely empty symbols and figurative language. Calvin’s view insists on the real, though spiritual presence of the Lord in the Supper
